Happy New Year! Two new “Drawing Funny” podcast episodes are now available, and they are the first episodes of 2025! Episode 71 – “MSCA 2024 Review Pt. 1” is the first part of my 2024 year end wrap-up review conversation with Mid-South Cartoonists Association/MSCA president Kevin L. Williams. Kev and I grabbed some dinner after work, and then discussed the very busy year our local cartooning association experienced in 2024. We had a full two and a half pages of notes to go over, so I broke it into two episodes and am releasing them back to back. This last weekend was the first ever Memphis Monster Con. It was held at the Pipkin Building at the fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday. Memphis has never has a horror con before, so this was the first of its kind in the M-town. Continue reading

This past Tuesday was our MSCA Monthly Dinner Gathering at Garibaldi’s Pizza. We had a great turnout again this month, and lots of help to assmble our latest “The Good, The Bad, The Sketchy” zine’s “Robots” issue.
This weekent the second annual Memphis Public Libraries’ Comic Con happens on Saturday, May 18th from 10-3pm at the main library on Poplar Avenue. Continue reading
