On Friday, November 12th Nicki and I eased on down the road to check out MSCA member Dale Martin‘s opening reception for his latest art show “Beyond The Emerald City” at Playhouse on the Square. We were running a bit behind getting to the show after grabbing some dinner at The Bayou around the corner, but were able to follow the black top road (Cooper Street) to it with a few minutes to spare!

Williams to remind everyone of our November 1st dinner meeting this Tuesday night from 6-8pm at Garibaldi’s Pizza (near the UofM). Plus Kev shares some info on our upcoming “Spamalittle: Knights of the Drawing Table” art show at Germantown Community Theatre in March (MSCA member Jim Palmer is starring in GCT’s current play “An Inspector Calls“), and some other plans that be a brewing for the group as we finish out our 35th anniversary year in 2022 and move into 2023. I just found out that Kelly Adkins (striped shirt below) with the Southaven Arts Council has passed away. She was very active in the local arts community and will be tremendously missed. We need more people like her in the arts community, not less…
