Hey, gang- we had another great turnout for this month’s MSCA Dinner Meet-up at Garibaldi’s Pizza.

Our next one will be on Tuesday, September 3rd from 6-8pm.

But before that, we will be back out at 901 Comics East for another MSCA Drink-N-Draw event.

The drawing event is free and open to the public, but bring a few bucks to order a beverage and/or something to eat.

Beer, sodas, water, chips, cookies, pizza and more will be available for purchase at “the bar with no name…” You must be 21+ to drink, and anyone not old enough to drive themselves to the event needs to have a parent attend with them.

We’ll be sketching and working on art projects while talkin’ toons and sharing art techniques. Be sure to bring along a sketchbook, drawing tablet, portfolio, or feel free to use some of our art supplies we’ll have on hand. It’s a great opportunity to try different mediums and techniques as well as ask/share art advice.

I picked up some new totes to store our communal art supplies in the new gaming tables Shannon and Jaime are putting together at the shop.

Lots of changes going on there with the layout of the store.

901 Comics East is located at 8551 Macon Road out in Cordova. It’s about a mile behind the Malco and Whataburger off Germantown Parkway. Will be doing another Sat-Art-Day there next month on September 21st. “Stay tooned” for more info.
