DINNER GATHERING
July 1, 2025, from 6 – 8 pm, is our Monthly Dinner Gathering at Garibaldi’s Pizza, 3530 Walker Ave., Memphis, TN. Bring money for food, art for showing, any freebies you’d like to share, ideas to discuss.
SHOW N SELL: Seems at different events we don’t get to buy issues of books or art at the conventions because we’re so busy selling. Let’s use the July Dinner Gathering as a chance to bring your art and books for sell to other members should someone want to buy them. Please be considerate about the work people have and don’t smear food stuffs on it!
MSCA AT THE POTS ART SHOW
The MSCA AT THE POTS Art Show “The Art of the Mid-South Cartoonists Association: Everything and the Kitchen Sink” is underway. The show will run June 13, 2025 – July 17, 2025, in the upstairs gallery. It is ADA accessible, too, by elevator. Special thanks to show hangers Katie Jones, Dale Martin, and DaMarco Randle. Extra special thanks to Katie for working to get us the location!

Come see the artwork of my fellow Mid-South Cartoonists Association members and me at Playhouse on the Square through July 17, 2025, in the upstairs gallery by the balcony entrance. “The Art of the Mid-South Cartoonists Association: Everything and the Kitchen Sink” can be accessed through the stairs or elevator during box office hours or showtimes (follow our logo). The address is 66 Cooper Street, Memphis, TN 38104. Every type of art will be present for viewing and purchase. The Artists Reception will be June 27, 2025, from 5 – 7 pm in the upstairs gallery. AVE MARIA HOME
We have been invited back to Ave Maria Home, Thursday, June 26th, 3pm – 5pm. The residents there loved us and have requested our return! Last time we gathered and drew for them, and led them through drawing exercises. PLEASE LET ME KNOW as soon as possible if you can attend so I can let them know who’s coming. If you’re in Midtown or Downtown and want to ride out with me, let me know and I’ll get you information for that.

SAT-ART-DAYS AT CASEY’S ART BOX
July 26 AND August 23, 2025, from 10am – 2pm.
Sat-art-day is a great time to dedicate yourself to some art that you’ve meant to create, to do some sketches, bounce ideas off one another. Dale once led us through a bit of portfolio review. All sorts of great things can happen at Sat-art-day. If you’re in Midtown or Downtown and want to ride out with me, let me know and I’ll get you information for that.
NOTE: all ages welcome, although if under 18 years old: at least 1 parent pre family, or 1 adult per 4 kids. If you have a group of kids interested, let us know and we can help conduct a special event just for your group. This is NOT an art class, but a chance to share ideas, info, and learn from other artists.

Friends, I hope you’re safe, warm, and dry as you read this. I’m sorry to say I have some bad news. I have recently learned that I have stage four cancer. I will start radiation this week. The cancer is in my brain and in my lungs.
Even with health insurance, the bills will be staggering. Anything you can give to help will be very much appreciated.
